How to start using my Travelwifi SIM?

To start follow the steps below:

  1. Turn off your phone and remove your SIM card
  2. Carefully remove your TravelWiFi SIM from the container card and insert it into your cell phone as indicated in your cell phone manual.
  3. Turn on your phone.
  4. If the phone asks for an unlock PIN or tells you 'Invalid Sim', the device is locked and you have to unlock your device.
  5. You must ensure that mobile data is active. Review these settings in the manual.

How do I activate the data plan?

For Adventure, Explore or Voyage Sims:

The data plan will begin to operate automatically with the first Sim connection to networks in a country where this plan works. Upon activation you will receive an SMS confirming the activation and start counting the days and MB of the plan.

How can I change my local operator?

Changing the local operator can be a good solution if you are experiencing little or no signal.

If you are using on iOS (iPhone), to change operators you must follow the following steps:

  1. Select the Settings icon
  2. Operator
  3. Deactivate the automatic selection of Operators
  4. Wait for the operators to look for and choose another that is part of our worldwide network.

If you are using Android, to change operators you must follow the following steps:

  1. Select the Settings icon
  2. More Networks, Mobile Networks or More Settings
  3. Mobile Networks
  4. Network Operators
  5. Wait for the phone to search for available operators and choose another that is part of our worldwide network.

IMPORTANT: If you change your country, your phone will continue to search for the same operator you selected manually, so it is important that you let your phone search for operators automatically.

How can I lower my mobile data consumption?

To reduce your data consumption you can follow the steps below:
iOS: Go to Settings -> Cellular Data.

Within this menu you can see a list with all your applications, this list allows you to activate or deactivate the mobile data consumption of each application so it is recommended to deactivate all but those that you will use on your trip.

Android: Go to Settings -> More, More Networks or Networks or you can also be in Settings -> Data usage.

In this section you can find the list of your applications and you can deactivate the use of mobile data of each one. We recommend deactivating all applications and leaving only those that you will use on your trip.


My phone does not recognize my SIM - what can I do?
